RUSSIA'S Novatek is to order compressors for all three liquefaction trains at its planned Arctic LNG 2 project from Germany's Siemens, the company said. The scope of the supply contract includes nine compressors, three for the feed gas liquefaction phase and six for boil-off gas. The contract comes as Novatek-owned operator Arctic LNG 2 seeks to push ahead with the development on the remote Gydan Peninsula in West Siberia, where it is aiming to produce first LNG as early as 2022.
