THREE years into the top job at Cameroon-focused Victoria Oil & Gas (VOG), Ahmet Dik says the AIM-listed explorer and energy provider is headed into operational profitability by the end of the year, tapping into a growing gas-to-power market set to transform the company into a regional player. "First, secure the revenue streams in our own backyard, bag one more power-supply contract and then perhaps look at other countries," Dik says. "Our blinkers are off. We're mindful, but not ready just yet." Dik says he came to learn that for a company to prosper it must have the right relationships in place, ideally before exposing success on the ground and running the risk of attracting attention too early.
