NORWEGIAN state-led Equinor is set to start production drilling later this year on the third development phase of its giant Troll field off Norway after gaining safety consent from the authorities. The operator will use chartered semi-submersible COSL Promoter to drill eight production wells on the North Sea field, starting in September, with an estimated duration of 144 days, according to the Petroleum Safety Authority (PSA).
