PETROBRAS has issued a pair of tenders for the charter of several platform supply vessels (PSVs) to work along the Brazilian coast, writes Fabio Palmigiani. The oil giant invited more than a dozen contractors to submit commercial proposals on both tenders, and set a 19 August deadline to welcome bids for the 1500-deadweight tonne PSVs. Petrobras has split the first tender in two packages: Lot 1 for general cargo vessels and Lot 2 for PSVs that can also perform tugging operations, industry sources told Upstream. The company is offering contracts for a period of 760 days in both lots, with operations set to start in January 2020 or 30 days after signing of the deals.
