Two hats in the ring for Mero-3 floater charter

TWO contractors submitted commercial bids late last week in a Petrobras tender for the charter of a large floating production, storage and offloading vessel to serve the giant Mero field in the Santos basin pre-salt province off Brazil. Four industry sources told Upstream that Netherlands-based SBM Offshore and Malaysia's MISC presented offers for the Mero-3 FPSO on 19 March.
