BP LENDS SUPERCOMPUTER SUPPORT TO US COVID-19 FIGHT

UK supermajor BP has joined forces with Google, Amazon, Microsoft and others in a consortium set up by Washington DC to give Covid-19 researchers around the globe access to high-performance computing resources in the fight against the coronavirus. The London-headquartered oil and gas giant is also joined by the US government, Hewlett Packard Enterprise and leading universities in the public-private partnership, Covid-19 High Performance Computing Consortium, which was set up last month by the White House's Office of Science & Technology Policy, the US Department of Energy and technology giant IBM.
