Lebanon protests 'ominous'

LEBANON has formed a new government after months of violent protests and a severe financial crisis that has brought the economy to a halt amid a shortage of dollars and severe restrictions on cash withdrawals. In an ominous sign for the new cabinet of university professor Hassan Diab, demonstrators immediately took to the streets to voice their anger at what they see as an attempt to safeguard a deep-rooted, corrupt political system.
