Living quarters sailaway

QATARGAS and local fabrication player Nakilat-Keppel Offshore Marine (N-KOM) have completed the fabrication of a key living quarters platform destined for the state-owned giant's North Field Bravo (NFB) gas field off Qatar. At an event in Ras Laffan last week, Qatargas marked the sailaway of the platform's jacket and topsides, which will soon be commissioned at the field. "This achievement showcases the capabilities, skills and resources which are available locally at the Erhama Bin Jaber al Jalahma Shipyard for the fabrication of large and complex offshore structures," Khalid bin Khalifa al Thani, chief executive of Qatargas, was quoted as saying by local media.
