CHEVRON is considering a tie-back development scheme for its Ballymore discovery in the US Gulf of Mexico, potentially a much smaller and less complex project at a find where potential for a standalone new floating production facility had been previously contemplated. The US supermajor said this week that a final investment decision on the project could be targeted for about 2021, with a "possible tie-back" as a development concept.
