Frade boost for PetroRio

BRAZILIAN independent PetroRio has acquired an additional 30% working interest in the Frade field from state-controlled oil giant Petrobras, increasing its stake in the Campos basin deep-water development to 100%. The $100 million transaction will be paid for in two instalments, including a $7.5 million down payment made at the signing of the deal and $92.5 million upon closing.
