PetroRio cuts costs at Campos

BRAZILIAN independent PetroRio expects to significantly reduce operational expenses at the joint Polvo and Tubarao Martelo shallow-water fields in the Campos basin off Brazil by merging logistics and offshore support vessel contracts. Earlier this month, PetroRio announced the acquisition of an 80% stake and operatorship of the Tubarao Martelo field from troubled Dommo Energia for $140 million.
