摘要

BP'S outgoing chief executive Bob Dudley said this week that work on the future phases of the Greater Tortue Ahmeyim (GTA) project off Mauritania and Senegal is progressing as planned, although Upstream understands it has been hit by delays. Speaking at the supermajor's earnings call on Tuesday, Dudley said: "Phases two and three... are progressing through their optimisation right now. So, the project is on track. I have got a lot of faith in it." However, one source close to the project said: "I get the impression phase two and three are being delayed because they haven't fully settled on the concept yet." This is a view supported by two other contacts familiar with GTA's schedule. One source said that pre-front-end engineering and design studies are due for completion in mid-2020.
