SCHLUMBERGER-OWNED OneSubsea has emerged as the front-runner to win a multi-million dollar contract with Brazilian oil giant Petrobras to supply 11 highly specialised subsea trees to serve the Mero-2 pre-salt development in the Santos basin. OneSubsea is understood to have edged ahead of arch-rivals TechnipFMC and Aker Solutions and moved into pole position to be awarded the contract, with industry sources suggesting it is likely to be worth more than $200 million. If OneSuosea is confirmed as the winner, the company will manufacture and supply 11 subsea trees and associated equipment to serve the SBM Offshore-owned Sepetiba floating production, storage and offloading vessel.
