AT least two major services companies are competing for the contract to build the gas processing facility for the Mitsui-led Waitsia stage two gas project in Western Australia. The two known competitors for the big engineering, procurement and construction contract are the Canadian services giant SNC-Lav-alin with local partner Civmec against the Perth-based engineering major Clough, which has the support of the large South African natural resources construction company Murray & Roberts, its main shareholder.
