BP'S PAJ 100 project in Block 31 is the first major new development scheme to be tendered in Angola since before the oil price crash five years ago, writes Iain Esau. Chevron started a tender process for the Sanha Lean Gas scheme in Block 0 earlier this year, but that is a significantly smaller development centred on a 4200-tonne platform and due on stream in 2021 or 2022.
