EPIC proves sweetest for Cacao

HOUSTON-based EPIC Companies has submitted the lowest price in a tender from Brazilian oil giant Petrobras for the decommmision-ing of three platforms and three pipelines in 20 metres of water off the coast of Espirito Santo, southeast Brazil. The Cacao decommissioning project is considered a landmark project as Petrobras-or subsequent buyers of the company's mature assets-must decide what to do with offshore infrastructure nearing the end of its field life.
