A think-tank has called on Ghana's government to amend the country's Petroleum Act 2016 to expand provision for disclosure on key aspects of the negotiation processes before and after upstream awards, including reports on industry consultations and meetings with the regulatory authority, writes Barry Morgan. According to Accra-based think-tank Imani Centre for Policy & Education researcher Dennis Asare: 'There was a measure of transparency but not up to the exacting standards of international best practice for an open contracting process, especially regarding Eni's Sankofa-Gye-Nyame (SGN) award in 2010 for the Offshore Cape Three Points (OCTP) block.
