Hydrogen plant pilot

AN OFFSHORE platform operated by UK independent Neptune Energy is set to be used as a test site in a pilot project to create the first offshore hydrogen plant in the Dutch sector of the North Sea. The pilot, due to begin in 2020, was commissioned by NexStep, the Dutch association for decommissioning and reuse of oil and gas facilities, and scientific research institution TNO in close collaboration with the industry. A megawatt electrolyser will be placed within a sea container and installed on Neptune's Q13a platform, located near the Dutch coast, 13 kilometres from Scheveningen.
