Norway hands out record number of licences

NORWAY has awarded a record 83 production licences to 33 compa nies ranging from large interna tional majors to smaller domestic explorers in its latest round of awards in pre-defined areas (APA). Norway's Ministry of Petroleum & Energy said the tally is the larg est number of awards ever in one round.
