Bid prices emerge in pitch for Sete Brasil rigs

PRICES have emerged for a pair of bids submitted to acquire between two and four unfinished rigs from ailing Brazilian charterer Sete Brasil, though some sources suggest that the offers may not be enough to win over the entity's creditors. Magni Partners, controller of Oslo-listed Borr Drilling, bid $62.5 million per rig for a total of $250 million. The Magni offer included the semi-submersibles Urca and Frade, currently moored at the BrasFels shjpyard near Rio de Janeiro, and also the Arpoador and Guarapari drillships, one of which is at Jurong Aracruz shipyard in Espirito Santo, and the other with Sembcorp Marine in Singapore.
