Llog eyes Keathley Canyon hub

LLOG Exploration sees the possibility for a new production hub in the Keathley Canyon area of the US Gulf of Mexico stemming from the Leon and Moccasin discoveries. The US independent this week signed an asset swap and joint participation agreement with Repsol covering the Spanish major's Leon discovery, as well as the block containing the Moccasin find. The pair will drill a delineation well at Leon this summer and will thereafter aim to evaluate development options. With the nearby Anadarko-op-erated Lucius spar expected to see strong production, including from the Llog-operated Buckskin field that is targeted to begin production this year, a new standalone hub could be another option, the company said.
