THAILAND'S PTTEP has turned its attention back to the Cash-Maple gas resource off northern Australia where a recent gas discovery has rejuvenated its liquefied natural gas ambitions. The company many years ago began trying to commercialise the Cash-Maple resource as a floating LNG scheme, but the project has been on the backburner in recent times. For the entire duration of last year, PTTEP said the project was "under the evaluation of an appropriate development plan".
