摘要

THE UK regulator recently vowed to be more robust in ensuring operators fulfill drilling requirements, writes Rob Watts. The Oil & gas Authority (OGA) is seeking to reverse the decline in UK North Sea exploration and appraisal drilling that has slumped to its lowest in almost 45 years. "There's been a lot of slippage in terms of activity, and this is something we really need to focus on to do better," Nick Richardson, Oil & Gas Authority exploration and new ventures manager told the Prospex 2018 conference in London last month.
