Maersk set for listing

DANISH rig owner Maersk Drilling is set for its own listing in Copenhagen in early April after it has completed the the planned demerger from parent AP Moller-Maersk. AP Moller-Maersk will propose the spin-off at its annual general meeting on 2 April and, should it receive approval, Maersk Drilling would start trading on the Nasdaq Copenhagen bourse as a separate entity two days later. The demerger was first proposed last August. Maersk Drilling was one of four oil-related Maersk subsidiaries earmarked for divestment two years ago as the parent company decided to focus on its shipping and transport businesses.
