CHAOS intensified in Venezuela this week after armed conflict at the country's border crossings with Brazil and Colombia over humanitarian aid left two people dead and at least 15 others injured, writes Fabio Palmigiani. President Nicolas Maduro remained defiant in preventing aid crossing the borders, claiming there is no humanitarian crisis in Venezuela, despite hyperinflation and widespread shortages of food and medicine. Last weekend, Venezuela's military fired tear gas and rubber bullets at protestors attempting to collect and transport the aid.
