NIGERIA has succeeded in a motion before a London High Court seeking permission to proceed with a case against investment banker JP Morgan Chase for the misappropriation of state funds in the course of an offshore licensing transaction, writes Barry Morgan. JP Morgan is alleged to have enabled misappropriation of $875 million in the course of aiding the transfer of title to controversial OPL 245, according to Salihu Isah, special adviser to Nigeria's Attorney General and Minister of Justice Abubakar Malami.
