The U.S. Army, Navy and Air Force are all seeking to increase their inventory of unmanned systems in the Defense Department's budget request for Fiscal Year 2011.rnThe $708 billion fiscal 2011 defense budget, which includes $159.3 billion for overseas contingency operations (OCO) - another name for the cost of fighting wars in Iraq and Afghanistan - was unveiled at the Pentagon on 1 Feb. The base budget represents an increase of $18 billion, or 3.4 percent, over what Congress approved in fiscal 2010. That comes out to 1.8 percent when adjusted for inflation.
