Unmanned systems companies abounded at this year's Defence and Security Equipment International (DSEi), a soup-to-nuts defense conference that took place in September in London. About 100 unmanned systems companies were represented at the event, some of which were located in a special unmanned pavilion area at the show, which was sponsored by AUVSI. The pavilion included a Robotics and Unmanned Systems Showcase for demonstrating air and ground systems. The demo area featured an anti-insurgent scenario on a set made to look like a scene from Afghanistan. Even in a show full of automatic weaponry, tanks and heavy artillery, the pavilion helped unmanned systems draw attention.
