M.S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology Wins Student UAS Competition

India's M.S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology won the 13th annual Student UAS Competition, held this year at Webster Field in Maryland from June 17-20. The competition focuses on engaging undergraduate students in a challenging mission requiring the design, fabrication and demonstration of a system capable of completing specific aerial operations autonomously and performing several additional tasks involving autopilot and sensor integration, target acquisition and identification, radio frequency communications, actionable intelligence, airborne delivery, and national airspace integration with new interoperability and sense, detect and avoid tasks.
