Robotic Skies, based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, is based on the notion that the growing fleet of unmanned aircraft in the skies all have one thing in common — they're going to need maintenance. Brad Hayden, the company's founder, grew up in aviation, in what he calls a "Part 145 repair station environment" (Part 145 of the Federal Aviation Administration's Code of Federal Regulations Title 14 governs aircraft maintenance and inspection facilities). "I started working on airplanes when I was pretty young, and it was like my high school job, if you will," he says, and continued in college.
