Catalytic activity is discussed for coordination compounds viz. New family of group Ivb metallocene complexes with alcolholato-ligands containing bi-and tricyclic framework moieties, being applied in homogeneous olefin polymerisation processes by Kaminsky. The experiments on ethylene polymerisation at a pressure of 1.5MPa in hexane are described. Dependence of the activity of the catalyst from it's structure is shown. Several advantages of new complexes with respect to traditional catalysts of this type are demonstrated in connection with an influence of a steric factor of the ligand framework.
