Over the last few months there has been a growing clamour around the topic of Next Generation Audio (NGA): the increasingly prevalent catch-all term for immersive audio, personalised audio and other technologies set to enhance the home viewing experience. While there were a number of relevant launches at IBC2016, it remains to be seen quite how imminently this revolution is going to hit. What was more widely apparent was an ongoing emphasis on (re)configurable solutions and general ease of implementation as part of fast-moving and changeable workflows.
