Here we are then, a brand new year that feels remarkably like the last one, at least in terms of the global elephant in the room. But, let’s leave that to one side for the moment and focus on what’s in store for 2021. We could be set for a busy year if all the major sporting events that were postponed in 2020 take place. They may not happen in the way originally intended, but that could be a boon for our industry as viewers and sports fans turn to their screens to watch the action. And if they do happen, will we see remote production become even more important as broadcasters and rights holders decide to send smaller production teams?
