Danish-German tunnel tender briefing attracts European companies

Denmark-Germany More than 200 companies from across Europe attended a briefing in mid-January on two upcoming tender packages for the EUR 5.5bn (USD 7.5bn) Fehmarnbelt tunnel. The companies heard presentations given by the management and the technical department of Femern, the company planning the scheme. According to Femern, nine international consortia are already participating in the tender for the construction of the tunnel itself.
