摘要

The primary documentation of underground working faces is made by a geologist. This documentation is interpreted in the stereographic projection for the given working section as part of the geotechnical monitoring. The standard geological documentation of an underground working face consists of description and identification of rocks, spacing and orientation of geological discontinuities, properties of discontinuities (roughness, separation, continuity and weathering of the wall rock, filling) and ground water conditions. Nowadays, a digital photography is a part of the underground working face documentation. The advanced techniques of digital imaging, image processing and analysis can be used for the analysis of geological conditions on the face of the driven working.
