Image Processing and Analysis in Geotechnical Investigation

摘要

The approach of image processing of underground working face photographs using the system forrnimage processing and analysis LUCIA is given. There are given image analysis examples of differentrntypes of geological structures in a rock profile. The method was verified by pictures of tunnel facesrnand by artificial outcrops. This method is relatively inexpensive and applicable for daily geotechnicalrnpractice and for an assessment of properties for advance of boom tunnelling machines and predictionrnof their cutting performance.
