AMAROO MAIN SEWER REACHES MAJOR BREAKTHROUGH

John Holland recently confirmed the latest tunnel boring machine (TBM) breakthrough on Yarra Valley Water's Amaroo Main Sewer Project. The breakthrough marks the completion of the line 09-10 drive, which has a total length of 604 m.The drive was completed by a Herrenknecht TBM dubbed 'Summer'. Summer has since been removed from the line and John Holland crews have commenced line cleanout. In addition to this breakthrough, steady progress is being made on two other drives.
