摘要

This article describes high-performance lithium-ion battery systems for EV and HEV application. Research on the EV system development has revealed that it has potential for longer driving range per single charge than other existing batteries. And also HEV application studies show a lithium-ion battery system provides around several times the specific power of conventional batteries and also achieves high recharging performance and high charge/discharge efficiency. Evaluation results indicate that lithium-ion battery systems are highly promising energy sources for EV and HEVs.
