GUEST EDITORIAL Universities' Transport Studies Group UK Annual Conference 2010

Volume 33, No. 1, February 2010 of Transportation Planning and Technology represented the first special issue of papers that emanated from the 41st Annual Universities' Transport Studies Group (UTSG) Conference held at University College London in January 2009. This second special issue presents six papers from the 42nd Annual Conference hosted by the University of Plymouth in January 2010. The UTSG Conference is for transport academics and researchers from UK and Ireland universities and is 'designed to discuss research needs, research in progress and to give research students the opportunity to present papers on their work' (www.utsg.net). One hundred and ten delegates attended the Plymouth Conference and, as with the 2009 Conference, those presenting were invited to have their papers considered for inclusion in the special issue. Those papers submitted to us were subject to a rigorous review process in the usual manner.
