Thousands of people turned out on both sides of the Cromarty Firth on a sunny day to view the arrival and departure of the Queen Mary 2, the worlds longest, largest, tallest - six storeys higher than its predecessor - and most expensive cruise vessel ever built. The vast size of the vessel - 35 metres long (26 double decker London buses end to end) and 75 metres high, dominated the skyline when she berthed with such ease and without difficulty alongside the Admiralty Pier in Invergordon.
