A British government-backed body called the Low Carbon Vehicle Partnership (Low CVP) has been established to co-ordinate research and development of environment-friendly vehicles and encourage their operation. The formation of Low CVP was first mooted in the government's "strategy document" Powering Future Vehicles, published last July. This explains how the government intends to push environment-friendly vehicle technologies and fuels, and to get the UK automotive industry more engaged with them.
