An Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) will be held on 31 March to approve proposed changes to the Society's Memorandum and Articles. The proposed changes will enable a new model for the Society's governance to be implemented at the AGM in June. The proposal has already been endorsed by SOE Council and the details were discussed at a meeting on 26 January (after Operations Engineer went to press). If accepted, the new structure will see a much greater emphasis on the Society's three professional sectors, IRTE, IPIantE and BES.
