SINGAPORE

Scania has received its largest ever Asian bus and coach order, selling 500 city buses to SBS Transit in Singapore. The vehicles will all feature Euro 4 engines and exhaust gas recirculation technology. The order is part of SBS Transit's on-going replacement of its fleet of 2,700 buses with vehicles having better environmental performance. The buses will have bodywork produced by Gemling Coachworks in Malaysia. Deliveries will take place during late 2007 and in 2008.
