In late September the merged Veolia and Transdev had a formal company name change to Veolia Transdev. On 1 October Veolia Transdev took over the urban and school operations of Caringbah Bus Service, which had been run by the Wood family since the 1940s. The rail transport activities of Siemens have become part of a new fourth business unit in the company's corporate structure called the Infrastructure & Cities Sector. The new unit commenced on 1 October and it has five divisions, three of which relate to rail transport.
