MIXING FAN INSTALLATION METHOD FOR DRYINGWET FLOORS IN FREE-STALL HOUSES

The method of installing mixing fans in a free-stall house in order to dry a wet floor was investigated in a laboratory study. A velocity scale on the floor was used as a parameter to evaluate installations. It was found that tilting the fan provided more intense airflow near the floor over a longer distance. A tilt angle of 45° was the optimum angle in experimental conditions. The fan spacing was dependent on tilt angle, and it was shown that a spacing of six fan diameters was adequate when the title angle was 45°
