摘要

A comprehensive method for prediction of the off-road performance of a driven wheel is presented, assuming the wheel-soil contact surface is parabolic in the longitudinal direction. A model was developed for prediction of the traction performance, with a view toward optimizing the operating performance of the vehicles as affected by load transfer, under steady-state and kinematic conditions. The driving and braking modes were considered corresponding to a push/pull force acting on the wheel. The method was checked against experimental data reported in the literature. The method shows significant asymmetry of the traction performance in the two modes: the braking force generated in the braking mode being significantly higher than the net traction in the driving mode
