Clarification of a three-dimensional diffusing spray mechanism using the multi-impingement wall (macroscopic observation of impinging spray)

摘要

A multi-impingement-wall haed attached to the cylinder head near the center of the combustion chamber of a DI diesel engine has been proposed by authors. The relative uniform sprays have been realized due to the effect of impingement of sprays by means of this head. Photographs of these impinging sprays were taken in the atmosphere at the 1 Mpa with room temperature and the local Sauter mean diameter of these sprays was detected in the ambient atmosphere.
