摘要

An optimal capacity planning method is proposed for energy supply systems including thermal storage tanks. Equipment capacities and utility maximum demands are determined so as to minimize the annual total cost in consideration of the system's operational strategy for energy demand varying hourly over a year. This optimization problem is a large-scale and complex one, and it is solved by a hierarchical optimization method on the basis of a penalty method.
