Power Generation Control System Automated ABWR Startup, Shutdown, and Load Following

The Advanced Boiling Water Reactor (ABWR) Power Generation Control System (PGCS) provides for automated plant startup, shutdown, and power maneuvers through programmed supervision of plant power generation related control systems. PGCS does this by coordinating the initiation and successful completion of select system level tasks. PGCS displays serve as an automated procedure checklist so that the plant operator may supervise the automatic operation of the plant with minimal intervention.
