PaR In-Cell Remote Manipulator for Argonne National Laboratory Alpha Gamma Hot-Cell Facility

In 1964 PaR Systems provided a remotely controlled manipulator on a tracked vehicle to Argonne National Laboratory used for critical in-cell maintenance in the Alpha Gamma Hot-Cell Facility (AGHCF). PaR's state of the art manipulator at that time was the Model 3000, which was mounted to a vertically telescoping mast on a track driven vehicle. The machine, although still operational, is near the end of its useful service life and Argonne has the need for higher capacity and longer reach.
